If you think AI won’t affect your business - you’re already behind.

Last Friday I went to an AI event for business owners.

I expected tools.

What I got was a shock.

AI isn’t coming - it’s already here.

It can write, code, edit, sell, create, design, teach, advise, even diagnose - faster and better than most humans can.

Companies like Meta, UPS, FedEx, Amazon, Microsoft, Walmart, and Google have already laid off tens of thousands.

And according to Anthropic’s CEO, AI could eliminate half of all white-collar entry-level jobs in the next 1-5 years.

But what hit me hardest - wasn’t the speed.

It was the human impact.

Who are we, when our hard-won skills, our identity, our expertise can be replaced overnight by a bot ?

What happens to someone who’s spent decades mastering their craft - only to be told a prompt can now do it better ?

What does this mean for the mindset of your people ?

70 million years ago, dinosaurs had a bad day.

They didn’t adapt.  They went extinct.

Crocodiles ?

They stayed lean, flexible, opportunistic.

They’re still here.

So are you running your business like a dinosaur - or a crocodile ?

Or are you still telling yourself that everything’s fine ?

Because the AI wave isn’t coming.

It’s already here.

And it’s not just jobs on the line –

It’s identity, culture, trust, and the future of our businesses.

Adapt or die ? 

Yes.

But more than that: evolve your people – or lose them.
