IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO START SOMETHING NEW—UNLESS YOU LET IT
I recently met a young woman, taking some of my blood in a pathology collection centre who, still in their 30s, thought they were too old to start learning Spanish !
Imagine!
What kind of social influences could have lead her think that?
I'm 65. I'm a trans woman! And I’m not just NOT hanging up my hat—I’m reinventing my entire life ! Inside & out. I’m diving into new adventures, building on everything I’ve learned & pivoting in thrilling new directions.
Not only do I adore my newly-found calling as an inspirational speaker, coach, & creator of events to elevate people & help them create new empowering realities of their own, but I'm diving into modelling too ! Why not ? Who says I can’t ??
Here’s the reality: Life is short. Life is precious. We only get one chance on this roller coaster. Believing that age should limit our potential is outdated and ridiculous. We’re not bound by numbers; we’re bound by our own willingness to keep growing, learning, and exploring, to take steps into the unknown that will probably scare us but empower us as well.
So let’s toss those age-related excuses that no longer serve out the window and embrace our one bright, shining time in the sun. Whether it’s picking up a new skill, chasing a dream, or just daring to be more of who we are—age is just a backdrop. What really matters is our spirit and courage to act.
Let’s chuck those old beliefs and dive into our own pool of possibilities. Life’s too short to settle for “I’m too old”, or “It’s too late !”
Let’s make not just our every year count but every day, & remember, the best is yet to come, so long as we’re open to it, & say YES!
